Lyn Brown MP attends 'Smile One More Day' charity event

Last Tuesday, Lyn Brown MP attended 'Smile One More Day', a charity event held at Hudson's Youth Project to raise money for Richard House Children's Hospice.

Young people gave up their time to fundraise for the hospice as part of the Dame Kelly Holmes Summer of a Lifetime initiative.

The event was a highly creative and lively collection of talented performances ranging from street dance to a fashion show. It showcased just some of the outstanding talent Newham has, and people of all ages enjoyed the entertainment.

Lyn Brown MP congratulated all those who were involved, she said:

'I was really impressed by the organisational ability and dedication of these young people.'

'This is the true face of Newham. Young people are energetic, creative, organised and ambitious who spend their time contributing positively to our community. It was a privilege to be at the event and to support them.'
